About Inwicken

Lighting the Inner Flame

In our hyperconnected world, mental health challenges have become increasingly common. Yet many of us still lack accessible, practical tools to navigate these everyday struggles with grace and understanding.

Inwicken was born from a simple yet profound belief: everyone deserves tools that actually work—tools that are not only effective but also beautiful, personal, and genuinely usable in real life.

Our Story

The name "Inwicken" draws inspiration from the ancient wisdom of "passing the flame"—the Buddhist concept of "The Endless Lamp"—a flame passed from one light to another, never diminished, only growing stronger as it spreads.

This vision took form during a lamp ceremony at Dharma Drum Mountain, where hundreds of candles were kindled one by one, until the entire hall shimmered with shared light.

That image became our guiding metaphor: we believe each person carries an inner flame—their unique potential for healing, growth, and wellbeing. Sometimes that flame dims, sometimes it feels almost extinguished. Our role is to offer the tools and gentle guidance to help rekindle that light, knowing that once lit, it has the power to illuminate not just your own path, but to inspire others along theirs.

Ember

Creator, Psychology Researcher

Ember—what remains after the flame. A quiet witness, holding the memory of light without pretending to be it. In its brief glow, there’s an honesty—neither more nor less than what it is.

My Journey

From early on, shaped by my own life experiences, I felt drawn to the path of psychological support work. I pursued professional training and worked in mental health settings, supporting clients and developing expertise in areas like mindfulness-based interventions and counseling.

But I've never forgotten what I love most: creating. Since university, I've been drawn to drawing, writing, and creating.

Bridging Two Worlds

Over time, I realized these two passions didn’t have to be separate. Mental health certainly needs professional support, but it also needs tools that are accessible, diverse, and emotionally resonant.

These are tools you can carry, touch, use in daily life, and return to. Ideally, they should be both functional and beautiful, with a design that feels appealing, tactile, and well-crafted.

"Because healing isn't just about function—it's about feeling."

Current Life

I now live a more nomadic life, traveling while creating, gathering inspiration from different places and observations about human nature. These experiences gradually inform each Inwicken product.

I love this rhythm of life—taking real experiences and transforming them into something useful for others, quietly accompanying people in their daily lives.

My hope is that these tools find their way to people who need them, when they need them, and that they serve as gentle companions on whatever journey you're traveling.

"The endless lamp: one flame lights countless flames, those in darkness all find light, light knows no bounds nor ends."
