Ember

Creator, Therapist & Artist

Ember—what remains after the flame. A quiet witness, holding the memory of light without pretending to be it. In its brief glow, there's an honesty—neither more nor less than what it is.

My Journey

From early on, shaped by my own life experiences, I felt drawn to the path of psychological support work. I pursued professional training and worked in mental health settings, supporting clients and developing expertise in areas like mindfulness-based interventions and counseling.

But I've never forgotten what I love most: creating. Since university, I've been drawn to drawing, writing, and creating.

Bridging Two Worlds

Over time, I realized these two passions didn't have to be separate. Mental health certainly needs professional support, but it also needs tools that are accessible, diverse, and emotionally resonant.

These are tools you can carry, touch, use in daily life, and return to. Ideally, they should be both functional and beautiful, with a design that feels appealing, tactile, and well-crafted.

"Because healing isn't just about function—it's about feeling."

My Background

Professional Training

  • Master's degree in Psychology with thesis research focused on mindfulness
  • Buddhist studies background combining theoretical knowledge with contemplative practice
  • Completed MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) 8-week program and meditation retreats
  • Experience facilitating mindfulness groups and integrating contemplative practices in counseling
  • Clinical experience working with clients and their families
  • Teacher based in an alternative education school, focusing on creative expression and emotional support through art and storytelling
  • Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Current Life

I now live a more nomadic life, traveling while creating, gathering inspiration from different places and observations about human nature. These experiences gradually inform each Inwicken product.

I love this rhythm of life—taking real experiences and transforming them into something useful for others, quietly accompanying people in their daily lives.

My hope is that these tools find their way to people who need them, when they need them, and that they serve as gentle companions on whatever journey you're traveling.

"The endless lamp: one flame lights countless flames, those in darkness all find light, light knows no bounds nor ends."
